Description:
Original hand-colored stereoview depicting the Salon Particulier de l’Impératrice in the Palais de Fontainebleau. The richly furnished interior features floral-upholstered chairs, a marble fireplace with a sculptural group on the mantel, a crystal chandelier, and ornate wood-paneled walls with gilt decoration. The carpet and fabrics are delicately tinted in shades of green, purple, and pink. The mount is blind-stamped “Fontainebleau” along the left edge. The reverse bears a printed label reading “PALAIS IMPÉRIAL DE FONTAINEBLEAU,” identifying the room.
