The river flows broad and calm through the valley, lined with vineyards and villages stretching into the distance. The rooftops of Königswinter are clearly visible at the foot of the hill, along with a winding path and scattered buildings leading up the slope. Issued as No. 14 in the “Ansichten von Deutschland” series by J. F. Stiehm, published by Linde & Co. (Sophus Williams). A classic perspective on one of the Rhine’s most celebrated scenic points.
