Stereoview of a Garden Scene, Figures with Barrels and Baskets, circa 1855/60

A faded stereo pair depicts an outdoor garden or courtyard scene with several figures gathered around large barrels and woven baskets. A ladder leans against a tree or wall in the background, with dense foliage framing the composition on either side. The albumen prints are mounted on a turquoise card with gilt-ruled borders and decorative oval motifs typical of French commercial stereoview production of the period.
