Stereoview of a Military Gathering, Red Cross Ambulance Cart, circa 18600

A group of men, several wearing military-style caps and uniforms, are gathered around a makeshift table set up beside a horse-drawn cart in a courtyard. The building behind them has a stuccoed facade with arched, shuttered windows and a wall densely covered in climbing vines; a marking resembling a red cross is faintly visible near a doorway, suggesting the scene may depict a field medical or ambulance station. Large cart wheels and scattered equipment occupy the foreground, with a figure seated or reclining on the ground near the wheels.

The turquoise mount with gilt oval borders and rule lines is typical of French stereoview production of the 1860s-1870s, though no publisher's imprint is present to confirm attribution.
